Ryan Rust has had a long tradition of supporting the men and women who keep us safe. Ryan's first experience supporting fire-fighters goes back to October 2001, with a dedication race to Fallen 9-11 fire-fighter Martin McWilliams. Ryan has supported many of the local fire dept's and their causes. Working with some of America's finest people has brought the understanding of sacrifice to Ryan. Ryan also supports those who serve overseas in the military. 2006 Ryan started a care package and letter writing program, now called Adopt A Hero. www.adoptahero.us In just four years this program has shipped 75,000 packages and well over 1 million cards, letters and emails to the troops deployed and in harms way. 2010 is the year Ryan graduates to NASCAR driver. He started his NASCAR racing career with Rick Ware Racing driving the # 6 Adopt A Hero, Firestop, Chevy Silverado in the Camping World Series truck at ORP in Indianapolis July 2010.
